These are photos of our 1957 Chevy. The first sixteen photos document the 2005 replacement of a 283 engine and drive train with a 350 engine, drive train, and suspension changes. The photos 17 to 26 show the car's appearance when we purchased the car in Fall of 2015. Photos 27 to 33 show cosmetic changes. Photos 34 to 42 show the changes resulting from adding A/C to the Chevy. Photos 43 to 51 show more cosmetic changes. Photos 52 to 53 show winter storage area. Photos 54 to 107 show body work, painting, and some other cosmetic changes. Photos 108 to 117 show more cosmetic changes. After a brief drive in June of 2016, it became apparent that additional cooling was required, also during this run a severe clatter started in the engine. Photos 118 - 119 show the new BeCool radiator being installed. The clatter was discoverd to be a broken valve spring. Photos 120 to 123 show this problem. After replacing all the valve, inner and outer, springs, we hope that the problem is cured for a long time. Photos 124 to 131 show the solution to the 57 Chevy heating problem when going under 15 mph. Photos 132 to 134 show a problem with A/C condenser coming loose from the radiator and its repair. Photos 135 to 137 show the sound system power supply used at car shows. Photo 138 shows a new overflow tank and battery tray. Photos 139 to 141 show the appearance of the 57 Chevy in 1987. Photos 142 to 145 show the new headlights and the buckets they sit in when on the 57 Chevy. Photos 146 to 152 show new bucket seats and beginning of Center Console. Lost glove box space when AC added. Center Console will return glove box space and provide BackUp Camera, cup holders, and switches for cooling fans on radiator, BackUp Lights(column switch broken no correct replacement available), USB ports, 12 v power point, and any other switches needed. Photos 153 to 160 show the progress of the center console to it's completion. Photos 161 to 164 show the center console in our 57 Chevy. Photos 165 to 168 show the couch made from the front bench seat from the 57 Chevy. Photos 169 to 172 show the finished center console.
