The Oak Desk Extention is made from 3/4" oak plywood. The extention is used to enlarge the top of an old oak desk that has been in our family for many years. It is used to support a second computer tower, a scanner, a record turntable, a receiver, and a DVD player. All devices are connected to the computer system for playing/recording records and DVDs to the computer.
The door was built to be the entrance to the stairway to the upstairs part of my woodshop. My networked computers(clients, file servers), electronic workbench, my projection TV, and sorround sound system occupy this area. Since the opening was not standard in size, a regular door was purchased and then wood of the same thickeness of the purchased door was dowled to the regular door for the new door to be enlarged to fit into the opening to the stairwell.
